About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Therapist Assistant to join our team in Berkeley, California. As a valued member of our team, you will play a crucial role in providing speech and language services to students with communication disorders.

Job Summary

This is a full-time position with a competitive salary and benefits package. The ideal candidate will have a valid California State SLPA License and prior school-based experience is preferred but not mandatory. We offer a collaborative and dynamic work environment with opportunities for growth and development.

Responsibilities
  • Assist SLPs with evaluations and assessments to diagnose communication disorders
  • Provide speech and language therapy to students in both individual and group settings
  • Collaborate with other professionals, such as teachers and parents, to ensure the best possible outcomes for students
  • Maintain accurate records of evaluations, assessments, and therapy sessions
  • Attend meetings and provide information on student progress
Requirements
  • A valid California State SLPA License is required
  • Prior school-based experience is preferred but not mandatory
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
