Job Title: Armed Security Officer

Securitas Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Armed Security Officer to join our team. As an Armed Security Officer, you will play a critical role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including patrolling a variety of locations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Patrol assigned site on foot or in vehicle, checking for unsafe conditions, hazards, unlocked doors, security violations, blocked entrances and exits, mechanical problems, and unauthorized persons.
  • Respond to emergency situations, using rapid and effective judgment, appropriate escalation, and the use of force when necessary.
  • Work closely with law enforcement, government agencies, and the community to ensure a secure environment.
  • Write detailed incident reports on unauthorized entries, suspicious activity, emergency situations, and any other observed issues.
  • Conduct security screenings of all persons entering the public entrance to ensure prohibited items are not entering facilities.
  • Monitor surveillance cameras and utilize a tablet, computer, or smartphone as needed.
  • Meet and continue to meet any applicable state, county, and municipal licensing and permit requirements for Security Officers.

Requirements:
  • Must be at least 21 years of age to be considered for an armed position.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Standard computer/technology skills needed.
  • Must be reliable, accountable, punctual, and have a strong work ethic.
  • Must have a strong grasp of appropriate and professional verbal/written communication.
  • Conflict resolution and de-escalation skills a plus.
  • Customer service background preferred.
  • Must be able to interact with a wide range of individuals in a professional manner.
  • Must be able to conduct patrols throughout the shift.
  • Must have great attention to detail.
  • Must be comfortable conducting access control duties.
  • Must have armed security experience.
  • Must pass pre-hire testing assignment and shooting qualification.
  • Must have a reliable personal vehicle.
  • Must have the legal right to work in the United States.
  • Must be able to speak, read, and write English.
  • Must be able to provide the office with a reliable phone number where the officer can be reached at all times.

All candidates must be able to pass a drug test and background check.
