About the Opportunity

City Experiences is seeking a highly skilled and experienced First Mate to join our team. As a key member of our crew, you will be responsible for maintaining the appearance of our vessel, directing daily activities of the crew, and upholding the highest safety standards for guests and crew.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direction to daily activities of crew.
  • Provide exceptional hospitality to guests and coworkers.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and safety of all common areas.
  • Sweep, mop, and wash down decks to remove dirt and debris.
  • Load or unload materials from vessels.
  • Handle lines to moor vessels to pier.
  • Stand watch in ships' bows, sterns, or bridge wings to look for obstructions.
  • Operate and maintain ship equipment such as engines and generators.
  • Chip and clean rust spots on decks and superstructures.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least one to three years' maritime experience or one year mechanical experience.
  • Must be able to effectively understand and convey written and verbal information.
  • Energetic and enthusiastic personality essential.
  • Must possess a service orientation and be able to lift heavy items.
  • Will work for extended periods of time without sitting.
  • Required to throw mooring lines from ship to pier.
  • Will be required to be available for work on all major holidays.
  • Per maritime law, must be a US Citizen or a Permanent Resident.
