Job Summary and Qualifications

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Diagnostic Sonographer to join our Imaging Team on a PRN/per diem/as-needed basis at HCA Florida Brandon Hospital. As a valued member of our team, you will be responsible for performing routine diagnostic sonographic procedures in a safe and respectful manner, prioritizing patient care and comfort.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and position patients and equipment in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to established operating procedures.
  • Obtain high-quality radiographic and fluoroscopic images, ensuring accurate and detailed results.
  • Maintain effective communication with patients, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals regarding findings, patient histories, and test results.
Requirements:
  • General Ultrasound experience preferred.
  • Graduate of an accredited program for radiographers or ultra-sonographers.
  • Current Ultrasound registry through the ARDMS required.
  • Abdomen, OB/GYN, and Vascular experience preferred.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, and lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs.
