Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced CT Technologist to join our team on a PRN basis at HCA Florida Brandon Hospital. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic CT examinations accurately and efficiently, ensuring high-quality images for interpretation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Select and operate technical factors for CT examinations, ensuring optimal image quality
  • Prepare and position patients for CT scans, maintaining patient comfort and safety
  • Administer contrast media and other related procedures as needed
  • Document patient information, obtain informed consent, and complete required fields in our electronic medical record system
  • Obtain high-quality CT images, ensuring only optimal images are submitted for interpretation
  • Remain up-to-date with software protocols and changes in the field, attending courses or seminars as necessary
  • Communicate effectively with patients, caregivers, and radiologists to ensure seamless patient care
  • Check and maintain equipment, ensuring cleanliness and preventing cross-contamination
  • Accept on-call and call-back responsibilities as needed to provide optimal patient care
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, plus college/technical training
  • Valid ARRT (CT) certification
  • Clear/active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT)
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, and/or lifting of patients/equipment up to 100 lbs.
  • Minimum of 1 year current/recent experience as a CT Technologist, preferably in an acute-care hospital setting
