Key Responsibilities:
- Geospatial Solution Design: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather geospatial requirements and design scalable solutions utilizing Geospatial Maps and GIS technologies.
- Geo Spatial Maps Implementation: Develop and integrate Geospatial Maps into web and mobile applications to deliver location-based services and mapping functionalities.
- GeoJSON Data Management: Create, manipulate, and oversee GeoJSON data for geospatial applications, ensuring data integrity and efficiency.
- JavaScript Development: Build interactive and responsive web-based mapping applications using JavaScript frameworks and libraries.
- Geospatial Integration: Seamlessly integrate geospatial capabilities into Angular applications, ensuring effective data flow and functionality.
- Geospatial Analysis: Conduct geospatial analysis, including spatial queries, proximity analysis, and routing, to support business objectives.
- Data Visualization: Develop visually engaging and informative maps and dashboards to present geospatial data insights.
- API Integration: Leverage Geospatial services and APIs for data storage, processing, and analysis.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of geospatial solutions, workflows, and data sources.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve geospatial issues and performance bottlenecks in applications.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, data scientists, and product managers, to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Stay Current: Keep abreast of geospatial technologies, trends, and best practices, providing recommendations for enhancements.
Key Requirements and Technology Experience:
- Demonstrated experience as a GIS Specialist, Geospatial Developer, or similar role with expertise in Azure Maps, GIS technologies, JavaScript, GeoJSON, Java, and Geospatial.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including frameworks like React and Angular for web-based mapping applications.
- Experience with Java development for geospatial integration is beneficial.
- Familiarity with GeoJSON data formats and spatial databases (e.g., PostgreSQL/PostGIS).
- Knowledge of Geospatial services relevant to geospatial applications, such as SQL Database, Azure Functions, and Azure IoT.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to troubleshoot geospatial issues.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Relevant certifications in geospatial technologies or Azure are advantageous.
- Experience with GeoServer, particularly in creating complex layers and managing APIs.
- Proficiency in JavaScript is essential, with a focus on Angular; React is not mandatory.
- The role requires a highly skilled MAPBOX Maps and GIS Expert to join the geospatial technology team.
- This position is crucial for designing and developing geospatial solutions using Azure Maps, GIS technologies, JavaScript, GeoJSON, Java, and MAPBOX services.
- The MAPBOX Maps and GIS Expert will contribute to creating location-based applications and services that enhance the company's products and offerings.
