Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Speech Language Pathologist to join our highly trained team at Jamaica Hospital. The ideal candidate will possess a Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology and be licensed and ASHA certified with experience in instrumental swallowing evaluations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide daily Speech Language Pathology, diagnostic and therapeutic services and interventions for children, adolescents, and adults.
  • Evaluate and treat patients with various head/neck cancer and manage aspects of their communication and swallowing.
  • Screening, identifying, assessing, diagnosing, treating, and following-up services for disorders of speech, language, voice, cognition, and oral-pharyngeal swallowing.
Requirements
  • Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Licensed and ASHA certified SLP with experience in instrumental swallowing evaluations (MBS & FEES preferred)
  • Possess American Speech and Hearing Association Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Experience in the management of patients with head and neck cancer in all aspects of communication and swallowing
