About the Role

NYU Langone Health is a leading academic medical center that offers a patient-centered approach to care. We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Specialist Speech Language Pathologist to join our team in Acute Inpatient Rehab. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with coordinating patient care staff and student mentoring
  • Develop and implement functional and individualized treatment plans
  • Select and implement appropriate technical aids and assistive devices
  • Complete all required documentation for patient care and reimbursement
  • Coordinate Speech Language Pathology patient care and education
  • Develop educational tools and resources for staff and patients
  • Assist with management of patient cases and responsibilities
  • Represent the department at interdepartmental rounds and meetings
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology
  • NYS Speech Pathology license with valid current registration
  • ASHA CCCs and membership in the American Speech Language and Hearing Association
  • Minimum 5-8 years of clinical experience
  • Team leadership qualities and strong communication skills
