With a motto of "Right Part. Right Price. Right Now.", Smyth Automotive Inc is seeking a Technical Paint and Supply Sales Representative to establish and maintain profitable relationships with customers on behalf of the company.
This position is responsible for actively prospecting for new accounts and maximizing the sales potential of existing customers.
As the primary external representative of the organization, the successful candidate will convey a sense of expertise in automotive supplies, serving as a key educator to business accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and grow paint and body shop supply sales to new and existing customers within a specific territory.
- Participate in sales meetings with technical advice on paint, body shop products, and refinished products.
- Participate in take-down, set-up, and maintenance of mixing systems in customer shops and Smyth stores as needed.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years as an outside automotive paint distributor.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced sales environment.
- Excellent prospecting capability.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong persuasive and interpersonal skills and sales aptitude.
