HVAC Technician Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented HVAC Technician to join our team at RNA Facilities Management. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems to ensure the comfort and safety of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment.
  • Identify maintenance risks on equipment and perform regular maintenance tasks to prevent downtime.
  • Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems and perform repairs promptly and efficiently.
  • Clean, adjust, and repair systems, and perform warranty services.
  • Provide technical direction and on-the-job training to junior technicians.
  • Keep daily logs and records of all maintenance functions and ensure compliance with appliance standards and the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
  • Assist with customers' queries and provide excellent customer service.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent.
  • 1+ year experience as an HVAC technician and a willingness to continue education in the HVAC field.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Understanding of advanced principles of air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating.
  • Working knowledge of boiler systems.
  • Proficient in balancing air and water treatment systems in line with HVAC protocols.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in reading schematics and work plans.
