Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team at Concordia University Wisconsin/Ann Arbor. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance duties related to the upkeep and repair of our campus facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to routine and emergency calls for repairs and service.
  • Complete work orders as assigned and perform minor repairs and maintenance to meet the mission requirements of the University.
  • Assist as required and cooperate with all maintenance staff in the performance of day-to-day duties and responsibilities.
  • Supervise student workers as needed and assist in other maintenance tasks on an as-needed basis.
  • May perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Experience with HVAC systems is highly desirable.
  • Ability to plan, organize, control, and complete all aspects of required corrective and preventative maintenance.
  • Knowledge of safe work practices and ability to use safe work practices.
  • Knowledge and ability to use a variety of building maintenance equipment, supplies, and materials.
  • Ability to understand and follow written and oral directions.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize work assignments and follow a work schedule and work independently.
  • Ability to climb in overhead structures, work in confined spaces, and in close quarters to perform analysis and repair work.
  • Ability to move and lift heavy objects.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with faculty, staff, and students.
