Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Water Treatment Operator to join our team at Veolia North America. As a Water Treatment Operator, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation and maintenance of our Drinking Water facility, including all related infrastructure, equipment, buildings, and grounds.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform technical O&M activities related to the Drinking Water facility, including all related infrastructure, equipment, processes, and systems.
  • Conduct Drinking Water sampling and laboratory monitoring per Project and Regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in ensuring all equipment and processes are well maintained and functioning properly.
  • Perform work in a safe and professional manner by following all corporate and regulatory policies, procedures, and emergency response procedures.
  • Work weekends, holidays, and be on-call on a rotating basis/schedule with fellow operators.
  • Respond to emergencies, work additional hours as required to complete tasks as/and when needed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED is required.
  • Valid Massachusetts T-2/D-2 or higher Drinking Water Treatment/ Distribution License.
  • Valid MA Driver's license.

Work Environment

  • Work is performed both inside and outside with exposure to all kinds of weather conditions.
  • Candidate may be occasionally exposed to some noise, silica, dust, fumes, smoke, gases, greases, oils, electrical energy, solvents, and vibrations.
