Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Water Treatment Operator to join our team at Veolia North America. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation and maintenance of our Drinking Water facility, ensuring the delivery of high-quality water to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform technical operations and maintenance activities related to the Drinking Water facility, including infrastructure, equipment, processes, and systems.
  • Conduct routine maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, and replacements of equipment and systems.
  • Collect and analyze water samples to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate records and reports, including operational and maintenance documents.
  • Collaborate with project and department teams to achieve EH&S excellence and develop a culture of focus and engagement.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Strong reading, math, writing, and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Drinking Water treatment systems, processes, and equipment.
  • Knowledge of Drinking Water regulations, requirements, and reporting.
  • Valid Massachusetts T1/D1 or higher Drinking Water Treatment/Distribution License preferred.
Working Conditions

The Water Treatment Operator will work in a fast-paced environment with exposure to various weather conditions. The employee may be occasionally exposed to noise, silica, dust, fumes, smoke, gases, greases, oils, electrical energy, solvents, and vibrations.

The employee may work on slippery/uneven surfaces, around machinery with moving parts, moving objects/vehicles, and ladder/scaffolding, below ground, and may be exposed to water and other liquid materials.
