Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician III to join our team in the operation and maintenance of Drinking Water facilities, related infrastructure, equipment, buildings, and grounds.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance activities, including technical operations and repairs, to ensure the proper functioning of Drinking Water facilities and infrastructure.
  • Conduct regular inspections and monitoring of equipment, processes, and systems to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Collect and analyze data from various sources to inform maintenance decisions and optimize facility performance.
  • Collaborate with project management and other teams to ensure seamless operation and maintenance of facilities.
  • Develop and implement maintenance plans to prevent equipment failures and minimize downtime.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards for Drinking Water treatment and distribution.
  • Participate in emergency response and on-call rotations to ensure prompt response to facility issues.
  • Support the development and implementation of safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of maintenance activities, including work orders, inventory, and training.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid Massachusetts T-2/D-2 or higher Drinking Water Treatment/Distribution License.
  • Valid MA Driver's license.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to interpret data from various equipment.
  • Proficiency in computer systems, troubleshooting, and problem-solving.
  • Effective teamwork and safety-consciousness.

Working Conditions

  • Work in a fast-paced environment with varying weather conditions.
  • Exposure to noise, silica, dust, fumes, and other elements.
  • Work around machinery, moving objects, and in diverse physical conditions.
