Wound Care Physician, Advanced Practice Provider
AmeriWound is seeking dedicated Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers from various specialties to deliver exceptional wound care services in long-term care settings.
This role offers the chance to engage in personalized practice that is both fulfilling and financially advantageous. Our network of providers spans multiple states and continues to expand.

They are responsible for assessing, diagnosing, treating, monitoring, and healing wounds effectively. Our certified wound care educators provide training and support to our providers and client facilities, ensuring the implementation of the most effective wound care treatments. This results in enhanced healing outcomes, improved survey scores, and increased reimbursement under PDPM.

Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct weekly rounds at assigned facilities within your designated territory.
- Diagnose patient conditions through physical examinations and telemedicine consultations.
- Physical requirements include standing and walking for extended periods, bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Perform necessary medical procedures, including debridement.
- Collaborate with facility clinical staff on findings and treatment plans.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding their diagnoses and treatment objectives.
- Document each patient interaction in EMR - APRIMA and maintain accurate medical records on the company-provided laptop.
- Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities as needed.
Qualifications:
- MD, DO, PA, or CRNP credentials.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible.
- Possession of an active, unrestricted state medical license.
- DEA license required.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to establish and maintain rapport with facility staff and patients.
- Proficiency in utilizing software and documenting in EMR with meticulous attention to detail.
About AmeriWound:
Our practice primarily focuses on skilled nursing facilities (SNFs), assisted living facilities (ALFs), long-term care, and rehabilitation hospitals, following a schedule coordinated by the respective Regional Manager (RM). Providers adhere to a weekly patient visit schedule arranged by the RM, Patient Care Coordinator (PCC), and each facility.
