About the Role

The Child Welfare Specialist - Foster Care is a critical position at Bethany for Children & Families, responsible for providing case management social services to children, youth, or families assigned to their caseload. This role requires a deep understanding of the needs and goals of clients, as well as the ability to develop supportive relationships and provide guidance to meet those needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective case plans and treatment plans in collaboration with clients and supervisors.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed case records, submitting required reports and providing statistical data as needed.
  • Collaborate with supervisors to discuss clinical issues, service delivery, and critical issues requiring supervisory consent or referral source authority.
  • Develop and utilize knowledge of agency and community resources to support established case plans and individual client needs.
  • Provide accessible and flexible support to clients, including evening and weekend hours as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in social work or a human services field.
  • Two years of social service experience.
  • Ability to fulfill regulatory requirements for Child Welfare Agencies, including background checks and certification as a driver of children.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable insurance coverage.
  • Sensitivity and responsiveness to cultural differences in the community.
  • Ability to lift 30 lbs and physically attend to young children and infants.
