Position Overview

Role: Manager, Software Engineering

Location: Remote

Team Dynamics

The selected candidate will oversee a team of approximately 16 individuals across three engineering groups, which include two product development teams and one support team. You will manage one team lead responsible for one of the product development teams and ten developers across the other two teams. Support will be provided by a release manager and a scrum master. While the team members are primarily based in the United States and Canada, collaboration will extend to additional product stakeholders located in various countries.

  • Lead engineering teams, ensuring accountability for the design and quality of components, applications, solutions, and systems.

  • Guide, support, and develop multiple project teams.
  • Establish a technical vision and strategy for assigned project teams that aligns with organizational objectives.
  • Translate business challenges into functional work estimates, considering interdependencies across project teams.
  • Collaborate with solution owners to create a solution roadmap.
  • Anticipate strategic challenges and scaling-related issues through proactive planning.
  • Initiate and lead process improvement projects within and beyond current responsibilities.
  • Demonstrate thought leadership by sharing knowledge through mentorship, coaching, and technical discussions.
