Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to software engineering teams, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver complex projects.
  • Agile Methodology: Lead and mentor teams in Agile and DevOps practices, including test-driven development, incremental releases, continuous integration, and deployment pipeline automation.
  • Microservices Design: Design and implement microservices architecture, including migration planning, service granularity, interservice communication, traceability, orchestration, and failure isolation.
  • Cloud Migration: Experience with cloud migrations and working in a mixed on-prem/cloud environment, including container orchestration, security, and serverless architecture.
  • Team Management: Lead and mentor cross-functional teams, setting and executing on technical vision and strategy, and ensuring delivery of high-quality products.
  • Quality Assurance: Monitor and evaluate team quality performance, continuously coaching and mentoring team members to improve processes and outcomes.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 5+ years of software technical leadership experience leading large software engineering teams.
  • Skills: Proven experience in technical leadership, Agile and DevOps practices, microservices design, cloud migration, and team management.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Java Ecosystem: 4 years' experience leading initiatives in a Java ecosystem.
  • AWS Experience: Architecting and building solutions in AWS using EKS, Lambda, S3, and/or Aurora.
  • Rules Engines: Experience implementing and operationalizing rules engines.
