CAMBA is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at The Kensington Family Shelter. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our five-story facility, providing a safe and comfortable environment for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and document maintenance issues on work order forms
  • Complete maintenance tasks to a high standard and in a timely manner
  • Report maintenance equipment issues promptly
  • Comply with all maintenance regulatory requirements
  • Utilize safety standards and display safety signs when performing tasks
  • Prepare for and respond to inclement weather
  • Escort clients to appointments
  • Perform daily vehicle inspections
  • Report vehicle and equipment issues
  • Complete vehicle travel logs
  • Assist passengers with mobility needs
  • Keep vehicles clean and tidy
  • Perform various cleaning and maintenance tasks
Requirements
  • Sufficient education and technical expertise to comprehend written and oral instructions
  • Valid New York State Driver's License and excellent driving history
  • Completion of NYS Approved Defensive Driving Classes every 3 years
  • Remain insurable based on CAMBA's point system
  • Bi-lingual preferred
  • Must sign NYC DOH/MH attestation
