About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Treasury Analyst to join our team at the Metropolitan Government of Nashville & Davidson County. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a critical role in supporting our treasury operations and ensuring the effective management of our financial resources.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepares and Processes Payments: Prepare documentation for payments and process wire transfers in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Reconciles Custodial Accounts: Assist with the monthly reconciliation of custodial accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Maintains Banking Records: Maintain accurate records of all banking activity and bank reporting, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Prepares Financial Reports: Prepare reports using various sources such as financial software and bank records, providing insights into our financial performance.
  • Supports Investment Activities: Assist in the preparation of periodic presentations and budget reports, as well as support trade execution and settlement of investments.
  • Maintains Investment Committee Data: Maintain the Investment Committee Data Room in SharePoint and public records reporting on our website.
  • Works with Custody Bank: Collaborate with the custody bank on investment-related items, ensuring seamless execution of transactions.
  • Performs Administrative Functions: Perform administrative functions related to Committee Meetings, including preparing Investment Committee Meeting Minutes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Related Field: A bachelor's degree in finance or a related field is required, with a strong understanding of financial principles and practices.
  • Experience in Treasury Functions: Experience in treasury functions, including cash management, debt, investments, and project management, is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of Financial Software: Proficiency in financial software and systems, including accounting and financial reporting tools, is essential.
  • Strong Analytical and Communication Skills: Excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and present findings to stakeholders.
