We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Writer to join our team at Raft Company Website. As a Senior Technical Writer, you will play a critical role in developing high-quality technical documentation for our software development and cybersecurity projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop technical documentation for software development and cybersecurity projects, including release notes, configuration management, and technical document creation and editing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that documentation meets the needs of end-users and stakeholders.
  • Review, plan, and evaluate network communications systems to ensure that documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Provide tactical and strategic input on overall network communications planning and related projects.
  • Develop and maintain documentation project plans, timelines, and budgets.
  • Ensure that documentation is compliant with industry standards and regulations.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience as a Technical Writer.
  • Experience writing software development release notes, documentation configuration management, technical document creation and editing.
  • Ability to collaborate within a cross-functional team and an eagerness to learn how to advocate for end-users.
  • Demonstrated intellectual curiosity and empathy.
  • Solid communication skills.
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Top Secret (TS) security clearance (with SCI and SAP eligibility).
  • SAFe for Teams Certification.
  • Familiarity with Sketch, FIGMA, InVision, Visio, Docusaurus, Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Planning and participating in early-stage discovery, framing, and ideation.
  • An initial understanding of Agile methodologies and experience in an Agile environment.
  • A foundational understanding of Software Development Lifecycle and activities.
  • Involvement in delivering user experience interactions.
  • Relevant DoD and/or Industry work experience in Space Systems Command.
  • Experience with Cyber Operations Branch (SSC/SZYO) program office.
Clearance Requirements
  • Active Secret security clearance.
Work Type
  • Hybrid - Colorado Springs, CO.
  • May require up to 10% travel.
Salary Range
  • $85,000 - $110,000.
  • The determination of compensation is predicated upon a candidate's comprehensive experience, demonstrated skill, and proven abilities.
