We are a community of staff, volunteers, and advocates dedicated to eliminating domestic violence. Our services include emergency shelter, transitional-to-permanent housing, clinical counseling, case management, and comprehensive support to empower survivors to recover and thrive.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop an economic empowerment program serving all MSP clients, including those in need of financial security and independence.
  • Manage and grow existing economic programs, such as our Fresh Start Fund and RISE Trust Unconditional Cash Transfer Program.
  • Provide one-on-one financial counseling sessions, assessing client financial situations, setting goals, and creating personalized plans.
  • Identify client needs and develop tools to measure success in supporting economic empowerment and self-sustainability.
  • Establish partnerships to support program and client needs.
  • Refer clients to additional financial assistance, legal support, and community resources.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential client records.
  • Plan and lead group workshops on financial literacy topics.
  • Collaborate with team members and external agencies for comprehensive support.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of experience in financial counseling or a related field.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial literacy topics.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, social work, or a related field (master's degree preferred).
  • Exceptional work ethic and organizational skills.
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A mission-driven approach to financial education rooted in empathy and sensitivity to diverse needs.

Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000 per year.
