Role Overview

The Senior Human Resources Specialist plays a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and overseeing various human resource initiatives. This position anticipates and strategizes for long-term HR needs in collaboration with business leadership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with site leadership to cultivate a culture of trust and respect, ensuring a positive workplace environment.
  • Support one or more HR functions, including but not limited to recruitment, training, educational programs, diversity initiatives, and employee relocation.
  • Manage Employee Relations, providing counseling, coaching, and retirement guidance across all levels.
  • Facilitate Employee Education and Training programs.
  • Assist employees with Benefits and Payroll Administration, including various leave of absence scenarios.
  • Work closely with management to drive Continuous Improvement and Process Enhancement initiatives, offering consultation on talent management, employee relations, performance management, safety, and wellness.
  • Act as a resource and advocate for employee inquiries, concerns, and suggestions.
  • Proactively identify and address potential issues, engaging relevant stakeholders to resolve them effectively.
  • Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience.
  • Experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong interpersonal abilities to engage comfortably with all management levels.
  • Proven ability to build relationships and achieve results collaboratively.
  • Demonstrated sense of urgency in operations.
  • Capability to identify opportunities, develop actionable plans, and assess outcomes.
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills, adaptable to changing circumstances.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
  • PHR and/or SPHR certification is preferred.
  • Familiarity with HR Systems (EmployeeCentral, SuccessFactors, SAP, Kronos/UKG preferred).
