Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist III to join our team at our Bloomfield, CT facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and adjusting semi-automatic numerically controlled machine tools to perform progressive machining operations on repetitive work to close and exacting tolerances and finish specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and adjust semi-automatic numerically controlled machine tools to perform progressive machining operations on repetitive work.
  • Work from programming instructions, operational data, and machine setup instructions to define and code tool arrangements, material clamping methods, machine calibrations, and console settings.
  • Perform operations that may include drilling, honing, boring, milling, and turning, screw machine operation, etc., on routine and repetitive operations.
  • Check parts for conformance to specifications.
  • Perform all responsibilities within productivity and quality expectations.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, following safety and environmental procedures and regulations.
  • Make recommendations for improvements to work processes and contribute to the 5S program in the work area.
  • Provide a high level of service to all internal and external customers and contribute to a positive teamwork environment.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Machining training certificate preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a CNC Machinist II or minimum of 2 years manufacturing experience as a CNC machinist.
Preferred Skills
  • Understanding of common GD&T restraints such as runout, concentricity, and parallelism.
  • Proficient in the use of shop math.
  • Limited technical supervision.
  • Requires knowledge of machining techniques such as cutting jaws, touching tools off, and tramming fixtures.
  • Familiarity with computer numerically controlled machine tool operating procedures such as dry run, geometry, and wear offsets, MDI functions, and basic G codes.
