Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our team in a comprehensive care setting that includes Skilled Nursing, Assisted Living, and Independent Living.

Work Schedule:
Available shifts include Tuesday to Saturday or Monday to Friday.

Candidates must possess a valid license as a Physical Therapist Assistant and have completed an Associate's Degree from an accredited PTA program.

Compensation and Benefits:

Hourly wage ranges from $26 to $38, commensurate with experience and successful interview performance.

The Physical Therapy Assistant plays a vital role in delivering direct care to residents under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer physical therapy interventions to residents in accordance with treatment plans established by the Physical Therapist.
  • Support the Physical Therapist during assessments, evaluations, and intricate treatment procedures.
  • Monitor, document, and report to the therapist regarding patient conditions, reactions, and responses related to assigned responsibilities.
  • Maintain accurate daily treatment records and document progress notes for residents as directed by the therapist.
  • Assist with the screening process for new admissions.
  • Collaborate with the therapist in consultations with family members, physicians, and other healthcare professionals as necessary.
  • Contribute to the upkeep of the physical therapy department and its equipment.
  • Assist the Physical Therapist in conducting in-service training sessions and other meetings as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
  • Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as per state regulations.
  • Preferred experience in a setting catering to a similar demographic of residents.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including neat handwriting and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to comprehend and adhere to the directives of the Physical Therapist and the facility's policies and procedures.
