Key Responsibilities:
- Administer physical therapy interventions to residents as per the treatment plans established by the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Support the Physical Therapist during assessments, evaluations, and intricate treatment procedures.
- Monitor, document, and communicate the conditions, reactions, and responses of residents related to assigned tasks.
- Keep accurate daily treatment records and document progress notes as instructed by the Physical Therapist.
- Assist in the admission screening process.
- Collaborate with the Physical Therapist in consultations with family members, physicians, and other healthcare professionals as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
- Possession of a current license or eligibility for licensure as per state regulations.
- Preferred experience in a similar setting catering to the same demographic of residents.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with neat handwriting.
- Ability to comprehend and adhere to the directives of the Physical Therapist and the facility's policies and procedures.
