Job Summary

Johns Manville is seeking a skilled Maintenance Planner to join our team. As a Maintenance Planner, you will be responsible for planning and scheduling all necessary maintenance activities to optimize asset performance and reliability. This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Generate, prioritize, and plan work for the maintenance department
  • Estimate materials, time, and manpower requirements for all work requests
  • Provide daily work orders, guidance, and direction to designated maintenance personnel
  • Maintain the work order backlog
  • Provide required Work Order & Maintenance Notification report
  • Manage work order system and equipment hierarchy in SAP
  • Coordinate and manage equipment rentals
  • Support safety programs and initiatives
  • Manage and track repairs to the plant's mobile equipment fleet
  • Assist with identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving equipment and process problems
  • Develop maintenance work procedures for non-routine tasks
  • Determination and acquisition of critical spares/setup in SAP
  • Manage goods receipts and consumptions of maintenance orders and stock materials in SAP
  • Develop work instructions to ensure critical maintenance tasks are performed properly
  • Assist in optimizing preventative maintenance procedures and optimize them to maximize uptime and minimize spend
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience
  • 5 or more years of experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with Maintenance Planning/Scheduling in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Understanding of general mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, air compressor systems, cutting/welding techniques, metal fabrication, PLCs, and electrical systems
  • Solid experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Ability to develop work instructions incorporating visual aids and clear instructions
  • Experience with mechanical and/or electrical drawings
  • Experience with SAP system strongly preferred
  • Must be self-directed and highly detail-orientated
  • Must be very organized with solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid knowledge of safe work practices and OSHA requirements
