Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and plant machinery
- Assist in production and troubleshoot mechanical issues
- Conduct piping repairs, including cutting, threading, and installation
- Troubleshoot and repair pumps, including rebuilding and replacement
- Operate electrical, air-driven, and manual hand tools and equipment
- Use arc welders, acetylene torches, and other open-flame equipment
- Perform pipe fitting and welding
- Troubleshoot equipment and process issues to identify problems and implement safe and cost-effective solutions
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly checklists and complete T3P Personal Risk Assessment Forms, Safety Task Planner, and Good Catch Form
- Work independently with minimal supervision and follow directions clearly and concisely
- Communicate effectively with plant leadership to report needs, repair requirements, and issues
- Apply OSHA and Henry Co/Carlisle safety standards and regulations to everyday applications
- Read and understand electrical schematics, piping, and mechanical drawings and blueprints
- Be flexible in changing job and schedule requirements as directed by equipment or process needs
- Strong background in mechanical repair and maintenance
- Working knowledge of electrical applications and processes, including motor starters, controls, variable frequency drives, electrical circuits, and electrical panels
- Working knowledge of 480-3 phase voltage as it pertains to motors and industrial equipment
- Working knowledge of thermal oil heaters, their applications, and controls
- Working knowledge of industrial air compressors and pneumatic piping
- Asphalt plant and processing knowledge is a strong plus
