As a Senior Registered Nurse specializing in maternal care, you will have the privilege of providing outstanding nursing services to patients, adhering to established protocols and the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

  • Exhibit excellence in clinical performance, establishing objectives, and managing intricate patient cases with expertise.
  • Ensure safe and proficient patient care while remaining updated on the latest healthcare standards and effectively collaborating with fellow healthcare professionals.
  • Execute the nursing process independently, incorporating evidence-based practice resources into your daily care routines.
  • Confidently utilize patient care technology, efficiently navigate information systems, and continually advance your skills and knowledge.
  • Appropriately delegate tasks, mentor new staff and students, and set personal objectives for professional growth.
  • Engage in self-evaluation, address ethical dilemmas, collaborate with other healthcare team members, and adhere to evidence-based guidelines to enhance your nursing practice.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain NRP certification, providing age-appropriate care to newborns and postpartum patients.
  • Show proficiency in fundamental breastfeeding techniques and consistently pursue lifelong learning opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program and possess an unrestricted RN license in Georgia.
  • A minimum of two years of RN experience following orientation or residency training.
  • Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
  • Additional CPR certifications may be necessary based on unit requirements.
  • Meet unit-specific educational, competency, and certification standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A BSN degree and National Certification in a Clinical Specialty are preferred.
  • Additional preferred attributes specific to the unit may apply.
