Position Overview

The Registered Nurse III at Northside Hospital is responsible for independently assessing, planning, and delivering nursing care to patients based on physician directives and established protocols, in alignment with the Georgia Nurse Practice Act. This role involves managing the care of a designated group of patients while adhering to the values and policies of Northside Hospital. Our nursing practice emphasizes collaboration, effective communication, coordination, integration, and empowerment.

As a Staff RN III, you will be expected to demonstrate the competencies and critical thinking skills associated with your level, while also encompassing the responsibilities of the previous RN levels (I and II).

Essential Qualifications
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program and a valid RN license in Georgia, in good standing.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of full-time nursing experience following orientation or residency training.
  • Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
  • Additional required certifications (ACLS, NRP, PALS, etc.) may vary by clinical unit.
  • Specific educational requirements and competencies may be necessary based on the clinical unit.
  • Other essential RN attributes may be unit-specific; please refer to the clinical unit for details.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
  • National Certification in a Clinical Specialty is preferred.
