Key Responsibilities

The Senior Registered Nurse at Northside Hospital is responsible for the autonomous planning and delivery of nursing care to patients, adhering to physician directives and established protocols, while operating within the parameters set forth by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

Essential Qualifications

MANDATORY:

  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program and possession of a valid RN license in Georgia, in good standing without restrictions.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of full-time nursing experience following orientation or residency training.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association. Additional required certifications (such as ACLS, NRP, PALS) are specific to the clinical unit; please consult the relevant unit for details.
  • Additional educational requirements, competencies, and/or certifications may be necessary based on the specific clinical unit.
  • Other essential RN characteristics may vary by unit; please refer to the specific clinical unit for more information.

DESIRABLE:

  • A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
  • National Certification in a Clinical Specialty is preferred.
  • Other desirable RN characteristics may vary by unit; please refer to the specific clinical unit for more information.

Work Schedule:

7:00 AM to 7:30 PM

Weekend Commitment:

Required
