Position Overview: One On One Care is actively looking for a compassionate caregiver to provide personalized support for a young teen boy. This role requires a deep understanding of nonverbal communication, as the client primarily relies on vocalizations, body language, and specific mannerisms to express his needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with bathing using a shower chair and grab bars.
  • Provide verbal prompts and physical assistance for dressing, ensuring clothing is suitable for the client’s abilities.
  • Support the client with bladder and bowel care, including timely changes of pull-ups.
  • Encourage and assist with feeding, particularly with finger foods and utensils, utilizing hand-over-hand guidance.
  • Facilitate mobility within the home and community, using a white guiding cane as needed.

Schedule: This position offers flexible hours to accommodate your availability.

Qualifications: While PCA or HHA certification is preferred, we are willing to cover the costs for certification training for the right candidate. The training is conducted online at your own pace, and a pay increase will follow upon completion.
