Job Overview:
The Mechanical Reliability Specialist is tasked with overseeing, executing, and maintaining the mechanical reliability of facility assets to guarantee operational safety and efficiency. This role is essential in formulating and articulating asset requirements and strategies while enhancing and preserving ongoing reliability initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead and manage third-party contractors engaged in Mechanical Reliability activities at the facility.
2. Collaborate with the plant team to sustain and elevate reliability efforts and initiatives.
3. Authorize modifications to Inspection, Testing, or Preventive Maintenance Frequencies.
4. Direct and support site reliability programs.
5. Partner with maintenance teams to create action plans addressing asset deficiencies.
6. Work with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to establish inspection and repair protocols, identify equipment damage, select appropriate inspection methods, and develop maintenance plans.
7. Contribute to the design, specification, and quality assurance of equipment.
8. Review and endorse inspection and testing procedures to ensure adherence to relevant codes and standards.
9. Ensure compliance with applicable standards and guidelines within the reliability program, particularly concerning Inspection and Repair.
10. Analyze Inspection Reports and ensure corrective actions for mandatory integrity items are planned.
11. Assess remaining life calculations and schedule next inspections based on equipment condition.
12. Support the implementation of risk-based inspection programs.
13. Assist in defining best practices for documentation and record management.
14. Provide guidance and leadership for reliability issues involving fixed equipment.
15. Develop necessary procedures for equipment inspections and tests.
16. Lead compliance auditing efforts related to Mechanical Reliability.
17. Ensure that third-party inspectors possess the required qualifications and certifications.

Minimum Qualifications:
- In-depth knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and guidelines.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical Engineering preferred) with a minimum of five years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Computerized Maintenance Management Software (CMMS).
- Demonstrated leadership experience and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
