Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at Duke Health Integrated Practice. As a key member of our Cardiology department, you will play a vital role in coordinating and participating in various technical tasks, tests, and determinations involving radioactive materials and measurement instrumentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and participate in technical procedures, including in vivo and in vitro studies, and operate radiation detection and measurement instrumentation.
  • Calibrate and prepare radiopharmaceutical materials for administration to patients, and formulate materials from pre-prepared kits.
  • Evaluate recorded images for technical quality, process computerized image data, and explain procedures to patients.
  • Maintain daily, weekly, quarterly, and annual quality control on nuclear imaging equipment and hot lab equipment, and monitor the department for possible contamination.
  • Assist in the development and evaluation of new procedures and techniques, and provide instruction and technical guidance to new employees.
Requirements
  • Successful completion of an AMA-approved Nuclear Medicine Technology training program.
  • Minimum of two years' experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, with experience in Cardiology.
Work Environment

This is a part-time position with day shifts, Monday-Friday, with no weekends or holidays. Duke Health Integrated Practice is an exceptional, multi-specialty physician practice encompassing 140 clinics across North Carolina.
