Job Overview:

Summary: At Great Wolf Resorts, the Sales Associate plays a crucial role in identifying, converting, and managing high-volume group and event business, aligning with the objectives set by Lodge leadership to enhance the overall performance of the Lodge.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Transform group and meeting inquiries into sales through prompt responses, exceptional sales acumen, and attentive client service.
  2. Establish and nurture vital client relationships to foster repeat business and long-term value.
  3. Exhibit strong account management skills, ensuring thorough documentation of all activities in the CRM system, tracking next steps, managing the sales pipeline, and scheduling future meetings.
  4. Craft persuasive group proposals, sales materials, and contracts that lead to successful sales outcomes.
  5. Develop and revise quarterly sales action plans that define business development goals and market segment strategies.
  6. Achieve assigned group room and catering sales targets that contribute to the Lodge's financial success.
  7. Complete Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and Resumes to communicate specific requirements, agreed-upon details, and pricing for meetings, events, or programs.
  8. Advise clients on all aspects of the Lodge's facilities and services during the proposal and contracting phases for groups and events.
  9. Monitor room blocks and maintain regular communication with relevant property personnel regarding group room pick-ups and rooming lists.
  10. Act as the Lodge's representative in addressing and resolving any group-related complaints or conflicts, including billing issues and contract discrepancies.
  11. Provide comprehensive information on meeting-specific requirements throughout the entire booking process, from negotiation to departure.
  12. Input accurate rooming lists, routing information, tax-exempt status, and payment verification into company software systems.
  13. Submit weekly reports to the Director of Sales and Catering detailing sales activities, converted business, and pipeline status.
  14. Maintain the Posting Master (PM) account ledger by tracking all open PM accounts.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in hospitality or a related field, or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in the hospitality sector.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check and drug screening.
  • Successful Department of Motor Vehicle check.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
