Summary: At Great Wolf Resorts, the Sales Associate plays a crucial role in identifying, converting, and managing high-volume group and event business, aligning with the objectives set by Lodge leadership to enhance the overall performance of the Lodge.
Key Responsibilities:
- Transform group and meeting inquiries into sales through prompt responses, exceptional sales acumen, and attentive client service.
- Establish and nurture vital client relationships to foster repeat business and long-term value.
- Exhibit strong account management skills, ensuring thorough documentation of all activities in the CRM system, tracking next steps, managing the sales pipeline, and scheduling future meetings.
- Craft persuasive group proposals, sales materials, and contracts that lead to successful sales outcomes.
- Develop and revise quarterly sales action plans that define business development goals and market segment strategies.
- Achieve assigned group room and catering sales targets that contribute to the Lodge's financial success.
- Complete Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and Resumes to communicate specific requirements, agreed-upon details, and pricing for meetings, events, or programs.
- Advise clients on all aspects of the Lodge's facilities and services during the proposal and contracting phases for groups and events.
- Monitor room blocks and maintain regular communication with relevant property personnel regarding group room pick-ups and rooming lists.
- Act as the Lodge's representative in addressing and resolving any group-related complaints or conflicts, including billing issues and contract discrepancies.
- Provide comprehensive information on meeting-specific requirements throughout the entire booking process, from negotiation to departure.
- Input accurate rooming lists, routing information, tax-exempt status, and payment verification into company software systems.
- Submit weekly reports to the Director of Sales and Catering detailing sales activities, converted business, and pipeline status.
- Maintain the Posting Master (PM) account ledger by tracking all open PM accounts.
Basic Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in hospitality or a related field, or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in the hospitality sector.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Successful completion of a criminal background check and drug screening.
- Successful Department of Motor Vehicle check.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
