Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Pre-K Lead Teacher to join our team at Compass Academy. As a key member of our Early Childhood Program, you will play a vital role in providing a safe, happy, and stimulating environment for our young students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and direct instructional activities for a group of children, promoting cognitive skill development and a love for learning.
  • Supervise playground activities, meal times, and rest periods, ensuring the well-being and safety of our students.
  • Plan and implement engaging lesson plans, incorporating a range of activities and materials to cater to diverse learning styles.
  • Establish positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues, fostering a sense of community and collaboration.
  • Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and other events to stay updated on best practices and industry developments.
Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Participate in an orientation program and complete the required number of in-service hours annually.
  • Hold a Child Development Associates credential (CDA) or be enrolled in a program leading to a CDA within one year, or be pursuing an Associate's or Baccalaureate Degree in Early Childhood Education.
  • Have prior experience working with Pre-K children.
