Job Title: Construction Manager III

Join our team as a Construction Manager III and take on the challenge of directing, planning, and managing construction projects from inception to completion. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring client requirements are met, projects are completed within assigned schedules and budgets, and all work is done in compliance with company safety and procedural policies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct, plan, and manage construction projects from inception to completion.
  • Ensure client requirements are met and projects are completed within assigned schedules and budgets.
  • Oversee construction workers and their supervisors, including other Construction Managers.
  • Coordinate activities of Construction Managers, Foremen, and construction trade workers, as well as suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Monitor and direct the progress of the construction site.
  • Negotiate Change Orders facilitated by APM/PM.
  • Determine labor requirements for projects.
  • Monitor budget project costs to ensure they are within budget parameters.
  • Ensure production schedules are maintained to measure time, production, and meet project requirements.
  • Monitor compliance with set regulations.
  • Study project cost indexes and adapt to benefit the project.
  • Communicate effectively in both oral and written form to large employee groups, owners, or engineers.
  • Maintain and enforce discipline throughout the jobsite.
  • Interview, hire, and train direct reports, plan, assign, and direct work, appraise performance, reward, and discipline employees, address complaints, and resolve problems.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Seven years of Solar or EPC construction industry experience/knowledge of construction techniques, estimating, and construction management.
  • Previous experience in a supervisory role.
  • Ability to organize, instruct, and supervise a construction crew in all facets of construction.
  • Ability to estimate, forecast, and monitor costs of projects.
  • Understanding of construction methods, scheduling, and blueprint reading.
  • Ability to demonstrate leadership, motivate workers, and communicate with workers and superiors.
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Office, email, internet, all Wanzek forms, Excel spreadsheets, all documents, photos, and field time entry.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and within timelines.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents like safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
  • Ability to calculate figures and apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in math.
