Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Operations Specialist to join our team at Group W. As an Accounting and Payroll Associate, you will be responsible for processing accounts payable and accounts receivable, assisting with semi-monthly payroll processing, and handling expense report processing and cash receipt processing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable on a weekly and monthly basis, ensuring timely and accurate payment and reconciliation.
- Assist in semi-monthly payroll processing, including adjustments and reconciliation of W2 data, to ensure compliance with government regulations.
- Handle expense report processing and cash receipt processing, maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Conduct credit card reconciliation and filing of vendor and contract documents, maintaining a secure and organized financial environment.
- Prepare for outside audits and assist with client billing, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, with the ability to learn and adapt to new software and systems.
- Ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance, with a strong understanding of government contracting and regulations.
- U.S. citizenship, with a strong commitment to upholding company values and policies.
- Strong attention to detail and customer service skills, with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, or related field, with a strong understanding of financial principles and practices.
- General knowledge of government contracting, with experience in multi-state payroll processing and knowledge of payroll laws and regulations.
