Position Overview:
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the modernization of our military testing facilities. Your expertise in complex mechanical systems will be essential in ensuring that our facilities are equipped to support innovative technologies.

Key Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the design and renovation of testing facilities to meet evolving mission requirements.
  • Ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations while adhering to industry standards.
  • Overseeing the development of statements of work and reviewing facility designs for adherence to relevant codes and standards.
  • Utilizing your knowledge of mechanical compliance in dynamic manufacturing settings, particularly with systems requiring stringent environmental controls.

Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in mechanical design.
  • Expertise in mechanical systems standards, including IBC, ASHRAE, UFC, NFPA, and ASME.
  • A strong understanding of HVAC systems and their compliance requirements.
  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics.
  • The ability to obtain a security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:
While not mandatory, the following will be advantageous:

  • Experience with MEP construction drawings.
  • Background in laboratory environments with precise control over temperature and humidity.
  • A Master's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer License.
