Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Transportation Operations Manager to lead our transportation team and ensure the efficient movement of goods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee Fleet Operations: Develop and implement strategies to optimize fleet utilization, reduce costs, and improve service levels.
  • Manage Drivers and Clerical Staff: Direct the operations of drivers and clerical staff to achieve prescribed objectives, including hiring, training, and professional development.
  • Implement Safety Programs: Develop and maintain a driver safety program to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and minimize accidents.
  • Process Shipments: Process bills of lading, ensure proper charges are billed, and establish a trip reporting procedure.
  • Manage Department of Transportation Reports: Ensure timely creation and filing of Department of Transportation reports.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 0-3 years of experience in transportation and fleet management.
  • MEC Card: MEC card credentials are highly desired, along with the willingness to obtain upon hire.
