Position Overview

Altus Consulting Corp is in search of a proficient Cyber Security Engineer to evaluate, design, and deploy security measures across diverse client settings. This role involves working closely with analysts, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure robust cyber defense and deliver exceptional solutions that align with client requirements and surpass security goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess security needs and convert them into technical specifications.
  • Design, implement, and validate security solutions utilizing industry-standard practices and tools.
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate security posture, identifying and prioritizing vulnerabilities.
  • Effectively respond to and mitigate security incidents.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on security evaluations, incident management, and threat intelligence.
  • Keep abreast of the latest cyber security threats, trends, and technologies.
  • Document security protocols and procedures for future reference.
  • Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of cyber security operations and processes.
  • May assist with vulnerability management, security awareness initiatives, and compliance efforts.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and teamwork skills.
  • Capability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively.
  • Genuine interest in cyber security and commitment to continuous learning.
  • Familiarity with security frameworks and methodologies (e.g., MITRE ATT&CK, NIST CSF).
  • Experience with security tools and technologies (e.g., SIEM, EDR, SOAR).
  • Knowledge of incident response practices and remediation strategies.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.

Basic Requirements:

  • Active TS/SCI with polygraph clearance is mandatory.
  • Bachelor's degree in Cyber Security, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in cyber security operations and analysis.
  • Understanding of cloud security concepts and technologies.
