Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Care Practitioner to join our team at Norton Healthcare. As a key member of our respiratory care team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support our mission to deliver exceptional healthcare services.

Responsibilities
  • Provide quality patient care as ordered by physicians, including the initiation of respiratory protocols and evaluation of protocol steps.
  • Assess, develop, and evaluate care plans for patients, ensuring the appropriateness of respiratory care modalities.
  • Participate in monitoring quality of care and assist with discharge planning as needed.
  • Provide patient and family education related to medications and therapy modalities.
  • Organize workflow to maintain smooth transitions between shifts and assist in day-to-day operations of respiratory care services.
Qualifications
  • Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy
  • CRT or RRT certification (RRT must be obtained within 12 months of hire)
  • Respiratory Therapist (State) licensure (KY)
  • Desirable: One year of experience in respiratory care in a critical care setting
