Respiratory Care Specialist Opportunity

Home of the Innocents is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our Skilled Respiratory Therapy Department. As a key member of our team, you will provide top-quality care to residents with pulmonary issues, adhering to all relevant standards and regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess and evaluate respiratory needs to ensure accurate care and uphold the facility's mission of promoting residents' well-being and quality of life.
  • Perform respiratory care procedures within scope of Licensed Practical Nurse licensure, including oxygen therapy, suctioning, medication administration, and airway maintenance.
  • Collaborate with Respiratory Therapy leadership, physicians, and interdisciplinary team for resident-centered care.
  • Participate in resident activities and education, providing nursing and respiratory support.
  • Manage pulmonary monitoring devices for accurate resident assessment.
  • Document respiratory care accurately in electronic medical records.
  • Maintain licensure and complete required training.
  • Ensure fair treatment and confidentiality for residents, families, and team members.
  • Strong interpersonal and motivational abilities for trauma-informed care.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and related software.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 6 months direct care nursing experience in acute or long-term care setting.
  • Electronic Medical/Health Records experience.
