Job Summary:

As a key member of our healthcare team, the Nursing House Supervisor will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and services. This position will oversee the administrative and clinical aspects of patient care, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage patient care activities during off-hours and weekends, ensuring that staff provides the highest level of care and adheres to regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate and monitor staffing levels, ensuring that the right staff are in place to meet patient needs.
  • Participate in developing, reviewing, and updating departmental policies and procedures to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Identify and implement best practices to improve quality care and services, assessing and monitoring clinical nursing practice to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Supervise staff, assess their needs, and identify educational opportunities to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
  • Act as a patient advocate, ensuring that patient needs are met and their rights are respected.
Requirements:
  • Minimum two years of nursing experience, with at least two years of experience as a charge nurse, preceptor, or quality improvement champion.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Registered Nurse License (California) and Basic Life Support certification.
  • Evidence of training completion as a preceptor or charge nurse.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of quality improvement, clinical care delivery processes, staffing, and budgeting.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Minimum one year of critical care or emergency department nursing experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing.
