Job Summary

The McNair Scholars Program Director will provide strategic leadership and vision to the McNair Scholars Program, ensuring its success in recruiting and supporting students in pursuing graduate education. Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement an annual recruitment plan to attract and retain McNair Scholars
  • Manage the program's budget and ensure fiscal oversight
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff to provide holistic advising and support to McNair Scholars
  • Lead the development and implementation of programmatic and organization-wide change efforts
  • Prepare and submit reports to the U.S. Department of Education and other stakeholders
Requirements
  • Master's degree with three years of professional experience in education and/or equivalent relevant experience
  • Experience supervising professional staff and managing budgets
  • Strong leadership and analytical skills, with the ability to implement student success best practices
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in federally sponsored grants and program management
  • Knowledge of administrative problems and solutions involved in operating retention and completion initiatives
