About the Role

Catalyst Kids is seeking a highly motivated and experienced After School Instructor to join our team. As an After School Instructor, you will be responsible for providing educational support and enrichment activities to students in grades TK-8th.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teaching and Tutoring: Provide one-on-one and group instruction to students in various subjects, including reading, writing, and mathematics.
  • Curriculum Development: Collaborate with the Site Coordinator to create and implement engaging and challenging curriculum that meets the needs of our students.
  • Behavior Management: Apply effective behavior management techniques to create a positive and safe learning environment for all students.
  • Communication: Maintain open and regular communication with students, parents, and staff to ensure seamless integration of Catalyst programs with school day activities.
  • Program Evaluation: Track student progress and evaluate the effectiveness of our programs to inform future improvements.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required; college units in education, recreation, or child development preferred.
  • Experience: 6+ months of experience working with children required.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to manage a classroom of up to 20 students, and a passion for working with children.
