About the Role

Catalyst Kids is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic After School Instructor to join our team. As an After School Instructor, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and supportive environment for students from TK to 8th grade. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver high-quality educational programs, including tutoring, homework assistance, and educational enrichment activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of students.
  • Provide individualized support to students, focusing on their academic and personal growth.
  • Collaborate with the Site Coordinator to ensure seamless integration of Catalyst programs with school day activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive environment for all students, adhering to Catalyst's policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; college units in education, recreation, or child development preferred.
  • At least 6 months of experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, staff, and parents.
  • Ability to manage a classroom of up to 20 students, ranging from TK to 8th grade.
