Job Description:

As a Lead Behavior Analyst with the Health & Human Services Comm, you will play a critical role in providing advanced clinical and supervisory services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You will work under minimal supervision, utilizing your expertise and initiative to develop and implement behavior support plans, conduct comprehensive functional behavior assessments, and provide technical assistance to staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical supervision, feedback, and evaluation of trainees' work and skill development to meet the requirements of the Behavior Analyst Certification Board and the Texas Regulatory Board.
  • Design and implement data systems to track treatment effectiveness and monitor progress on restraint reduction, psychotropic medication reduction, and effective positive interventions.
  • Chair the Behavior Support Committee and serve as the Director of Behavioral Health Services in the absence of the Director.
  • Manage departmental business functions, including budgeting, scheduling, and developing remedial plans to address deficiencies.
  • Coordinate and oversee technical consultation to behavior health staff on residents with complex high-risk behaviors.
Requirements:
  • Board Certification as a Behavior Analyst by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board and eligibility for licensure as a Behavior Analyst in Texas.
  • Master's degree from an accredited university in behavior analysis, education, psychology, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of one year experience working as a Behavior Analyst following Board Certification.
  • Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities with high-risk challenging behavior preferred.
