About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Fleet Mechanic II to join our team at MYR Group. As a key member of our Fleet Department, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, preventive maintenance, and minor equipment repairs on our fleet of vehicles and equipment. This is a semi-skilled position that requires a strong work ethic, good teamwork skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine servicing and repairs on various types of equipment, including malfunctioning parts and systems, in compliance with manufacturer guidelines and company schedules.
  • Conduct safety inspections of equipment and prepare safety documentation.
  • Track information in computer software and ensure repair orders and weekly timesheets are complete and accurate.
  • Participate in training programs and maintain and update safety skills and knowledge.
  • Regular and predictable attendance is required.
About You:

We are looking for a candidate with three years of experience in general heavy truck repair, automotive repair, or equipment repair, or completion of a vocational/technical school program or apprenticeship in vehicle and equipment repair. You must be capable of operating company vehicles and equipment on a daily basis and have the ability to drive and have proper licensing. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required.
