About the Job

The VETERANS HEALTH ADMINISTRATION is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Podiatrist to join our team at the Malcom Randall Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Gainesville, FL. As a Podiatrist with our organization, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population and contribute to the delivery of high-quality healthcare services.

Job Summary

We are seeking a Podiatrist to provide quality patient care in collaboration with other healthcare professionals. The successful candidate will perform specific duties within their approved scope of practice and have completed an accredited residency and/or possess experience that has qualified them to perform general duties and some specialized functions and procedures without supervision.

Responsibilities
  • Provide quality patient care in collaboration with other healthcare professionals.
  • Perform specific duties within their approved scope of practice.
  • Have completed an accredited residency and/or possess experience that has qualified them to perform general duties and some specialized functions and procedures without supervision.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest medical research and advancements in the field of podiatry.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Citizenship: Must be a citizen of the United States.
  • Education: Degree as a doctor of podiatric medicine, or its equivalent, from a school of podiatric medicine approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs.
  • Residency Training: Completed, or currently completing, residency training, or its equivalent, approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs in an accredited core specialty training program leading to eligibility for board certification.
  • Licensure & Registration: Currently hold, or will hold, a full and unrestricted license to practice Podiatry in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or in the District of Columbia.
Working Conditions

The Podiatrist will work in a fast-paced environment and be required to make decisions quickly and effectively. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, and will be required to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
